Schwartz Market at 1317 East Carson Street is also where the show is filmed. For the period-appropriate sets in Season 1, the property was transformed into a location straight out of the 1940s; the walls were plastered with retro posters advertising food prices appropriate to the time. The team visited the Ambridge neighborhood and three homes on Maplewood Avenue and Vine Street to shoot scenes for the inaugural iteration.
