Peacock’s The Traitor, based on the famous Dutch series “De Verraders”, is a thriller reality show that brings together 20 famous contestants under one roof of a majestic castle. They indulge in challenging tasks to win a big cash prize. Meanwhile, they also have to constantly keep their head in the competition and play mind games because there are three traitors in their midst.
The trio comes up with a plan to stay in the castle and win the prize for themselves while kicking out the faithful by resorting to sneaky and treacherous methods. The unique and exciting format of the reality series is made all the more entertaining by the presence of host Alan Cumming. Additionally, the remote castle where the contestants play mind games adds to the overall spooky atmosphere of the show. So it’s natural to wonder where “The Traitor” was actually filmed.
