“Jane Season 2.” An educational documentary series based on the creative imagination of a 9-year-old who transverses parallel universes to save the World’s most endangered species around the globe. Under the creative direction of J.J Johnson, “JANE” is a beautiful story of a young girl and her imaginary world.
The sci-fi drama and adventurous movie involves the adventurous missions of Jane Godall who is accompanied by her younger brother Dravid and his chimpanzee friend, Greybeard who are on an adventurous expedition exploring endangered species that need urgent care to save them from extinction.
The Apple TV+ series Jane offers a gripping story about environmental preservation laced with endearing animations, insightful commentary, and hilarious action sequences.
January 2023 saw the announcement of the series cast, with Ava Louise Murchison appearing in the lead role. While certain episodes were shot in locations in Africa and Costa Rica, the entire series was produced in Canada, primarily in Toronto.
Where Was Jane Season 2 Series Filmed?
Principal photography of the Jane series began in late 2021 and was wrapped up for the first two seasons by July 25, 2022. Situated on the northwesterly shore of Lake Ontario, the city provides many picturesque settings for film productions.
TORONTO (ONTARIO)
These include quaint suburban communities with a variety of natural topography and a contemporary metropolitan scattered with skyscrapers, which gave the movie’s settings a distinctive and endearing appearance.
The lavish and marvelous location site is home to many movies and series. Toronto’s studios provide an exceptional space for filming the movie/series scenes. Additionally, the locale area of the city also provides a great backdrop to the scenes. The scene of David in a panda costume with great pandas and Greybeard was filmed in a city park.
LOS ANGELES (CALIFORNIA)
The South California coast also played a great role in building the development of the series. The storyline is based on the imagination of a young Environmentalist. The coastal city provided a great backdrop for the same.

The coast is rich in marine life, flora, and fauna including several endangered species such as Green Sea Turtle, Coho Salmon, etc. The program raises awareness of the value of maintaining maritime habitats and shielding threatened species from harm such as pollution, habitat loss, and overfishing by highlighting this coastal area.

Situated on the southern coast of California, Catalina Island also has an abundance of marine life which can be viewed in the amazing scenes of the Jane series. The iland is home to several unique and endangered species such as American Bison, California Sea lion, Albatrosses, etc.

Costa Rica’s Limón Province provides the show’s gorgeous rainforest backdrop. Due to its extraordinary biodiversity, Costa Rica is known for having thousands of plant and animal species that are unique to our planet. The breathtaking network of coral reefs in Limón’s shallows is home to vibrant tropical species.

KENYA
The production team also utilized the great portion of the African city by covering the quintessential beauty of the African wilds. With the glistening beauty of the rich Flora and Fauna, the place provided an excellent location to fulfill the purpose of the series.
