HBO Max’s “The Climb” Created and hosted by Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa and professional climber Chris Sharma, is a mountain climbing reality tv series. It follows 10 amateur climbers from around the world, including champion climber Meagan Martin, as they go head-to-head in a series of climbing challenges that will test their physical and mental strength.
Climbers must stay on their toes to claim the title of the best amateur climber in the world and take home a grand cash prize of $100,000 and a sponsorship with prAna. In addition, the daunting rocks the contestants attempt to climb against the backdrop of a wide variety of landscapes lead to the wonder of where all of “The Climb” is filmed.
Where Was The Climb Series Filmed?
“The Climb” is being filmed on location in Spain, Jordan, France, Austria, and the United States, including Mallorca, Catalonia, and the Wadi Rum Game Reserve.
According to reports, principal photography for the initial iteration of the competition show has taken place in early 2022.
Spain
Many pivotal sequences for “The Climb” take place in Mallorca, the largest island of the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean. Serra de Tramuntana, Es Pontàs on the Santanyí coast, and Port de Sóller are important production locations for the reality series.

While filming Season 1, Jason Momoa and the rest of the team were spotted filming several key scenes around the Devil’s Cave near Porto Cristo. In addition, they apparently shot some sequences in Port de Sóller, a village in the town of Sóller.
A significant part of “The Climb” is filmed in Catalonia, an autonomous community of Spain, which is also designated as a separate nationality by its statute of autonomy. The film crew sets up camp at Sharma Climbing Gavà at Carrer Girona, 25, in the Barcelona municipality of Gavà. In addition, you can catch a glimpse of the 70-foot-tall Patiasso al Pallaso and the Alt Urgell and Pallars Jussà sites in several scenes of the show.

The production team of “The Climb” travels to several other locations around the world to test the climbers’ abilities in different terrains. Various key scenes are captured in the Wadi Rum Reserve, located in the southern region of Jordan, near the border with Saudi Arabia. In addition, the cast and crew use numerous filming locations in France, Austria, and the United States.

HBO Max has shared a first look at the climbing competition series The Climb and announced the renewal of the comedy series Sort Of.
Max Original climbing competition series The Climb premieres on Thursday, January 12th with three episodes, followed by three new episodes the following week, concluding with the final 2 episodes on January 26th.
The series was created by Jason Momoa through his production company On the Roam, legendary mountaineer Chris Sharma and The Intellectual Property Corporation (IPC), part of Sony Pictures Television.
The Climb is a visually arresting and life-changing adventure that introduces the fundamentals of rock climbing and explores the human spirit.
In this all-inclusive competition, amateur climbers are put through a rigorous series of mental and physical challenges, using some of the world’s most terrifying climbs, to crown the world’s best amateur climber with a prAna-sponsored climbing ambassador and $100,000 in prize money.

HBO Max and CBC have also renewed the Peabody Award-winning comedy series Sort Of for a third season. The comedy series Max Original is co-produced with CBC and Sphere Media.
Created by Bilal Baig and Fab Filippo, the second season of the critically acclaimed comedy about a gender-fluid millennial who changes in every aspect of their life debuted December 1 on HBO Max, following its Canadian premiere on CBC/CBC Gem in November. will conclude with the final two episodes of the season on December 22.
A coming-of-age story, Sort Of reveals the labels we once poured ourselves into as useless… to anyone.
