Where Was Transformers: Dark of the Moon Movie Filmed?
‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ was recorded in several locations, including Florida, Illinois, California, Washington, Michigan, and a few other states. Outside of local areas, a team of producers toured countries such as Cambodia, Russia, China, and Africa where the entire movie was filmed.
Although preparation for the recording began on April 7, 2010, the main photographs began on May 18, 2010, and ended on November 9, 2010. “Transformers: Dark of the Moon.”
Indiana
Early production began in Indiana, a popular “basketball-loving” country. The northwestern region was used for the movie, especially in the few areas around Gary in Lake County. The city, which is 25 miles [25 km] from the city of Chicago, looks like Ukraine in the movie.

When the team returned later to movie a few more scenes, a small mistake rocked the whole place and the people. As a result, the filming of the movie was temporarily suspended on September 2, 2010. Some were injured during the shooting in Hammond, and the severity of his injuries caused Paramount Pictures to have serious consequences for its alleged negligence. “Transformers: Dark of the Moon.”
Chicago
Another important recording site turned out to be Michigan which had a good amount of pyrotechnics and stunt work. The production team was due to relocate to Detroit in August 2010 but was delayed due to the expansion of the Chicago portrait.

California
“Transformers: Dark of the Moon.” Production reportedly began in Los Angeles on May 18, 2010, and continued for six weeks. The team has recorded extensively in the city, covering areas such as Fourth Avenue, Sherman Oaks, and 5 South Main Street.
The site was set up at Paramount Studios, located at 5555 Melrose Avenue in Hollywood. The team also visited Long Beach and Edward Air Force Base. In addition, employees allegedly used Playa Vista Stages at 6775 Centinela Avenue in Culver City.
Washington D.C.
The production team shot a few scenes in Washington, D.C., too. The shooting took place at the National Mall, where a car race was planned. However, on October 11, 2010, a tragic accident occurred during a recording of a chase on 3rd Street and Maryland Avenue Southwest.

A Metropolitan Police K9 Unit SUV unaware of its recording collided with Camaro playing Bumblebee in the movie. The accident shocked everyone because the area was closed by police. However, reports indicate that there has been a communication problem that has created this problem.
Florida
In late September, actors and crews moved to Florida, ahead of the launch of the Space Shuttle STS-133 campaign. The natural beauty of the state is not easily overlooked, and production has also entered the province to record a few scenes.
Cameras rolled at Hurlburt Field in Okaloosa County west of downtown Mary Esther. In addition, the Kennedy Space Center in Titusville also did movie cuts.
Wisconsin
“Transformers: Dark of the Moon.” The town of Milwaukee, on the shores of Lake Michigan, in Wisconsin, also served as a movie theater. The Milwaukee Art Museum, located at 700 North Art Museum Drive, also appears in the movie. The area is home to an amazing 25,000 works of art. The next scene in the movie is the former Tower Automotive site in the northern part of Milwaukee, which was then under construction and in the city’s courtyard.
Apart from the places mentioned above, there are a few other sites from this famous movie. The production team also relocated to Texas with the intention of shooting. On October 16, 2010, an incident took place at the Johnson Space Center in Houston.
New York acts as another recording studio as Bannerman’s Castle on Pollepel Island on the Hudson River and also appears in the action movie. The recording also took place in Atlanta, the separate capital of Georgia.
The movie is well-documented in different parts of the world. The team spent a day shooting at the ancient site of the Angkor Wat temple in Cambodia.
