The comedy street movie ‘Dog’ tells the thrilling journey of a man and a dog. U.S. Army Ranger Briggs (Channing Tatum) gets a summary of his next, slightly more difficult task. He has to accompany Lulu, a Belgian Malinois dog serving in the military, at her boss’s funeral, chasing time. On a moving journey from the military base north of Washington to Nogales, Arizona, the duo Briggs and Lulu formed a bond.
While there are still bumps in this relationship (and other broken seats), Channing Tatum shines in the comedy scene next to the abusive canine. As is often the case with street movies, most of the story takes place on dusty highways and in the surrounding areas while transporting spectators to military bases from time to time.
Where Was Dog Movie Filmed?
‘Dog’ was recorded in the U.S. and surrounding areas, especially California. The recording reportedly started sometime in the middle of 2020 and ended after that. According to Tatum, three different dogs were arrested for playing a fictional canine character, Lulu. The movie, in turn, remembers Tatum’s dog of the same name, the pit bull-Catahoula mix, who died in 2018 from cancer.
Newton Thomas Sigel, whose credits include ‘Common Suspects,’ ‘Bohemian Rhapsody,’ and ‘Driving,’ has worked as a Graphic Director at the movie. On the other hand, the dynamic duo of Laurence Bennett and Thomas P. Wilkins is holding a production project. Now let’s take you to some places where the movie was filmed.
California
The movie has to be a journey across the country. However, many recordings took place in California and surrounding areas, especially in Los Angeles County. ‘Dog’ is also one of the first films re-recording following the simplification of Covid-19 closure limits. The editorial team filmed several sequences in Santa Clarita, a California town in Los Angeles County, about 33 miles north of downtown Los Angeles.

Several internal sequences were recorded at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel, a 4-star residence located at 506 South Grand Avenue in Downtown Los Angeles. From the 1984 movie ‘Ghostbusters’ to David Fincher’s ‘The Game,’ a series of world-famous brands were filmed on the premises of the hotel.

The group filmed an additional sequence in Lancaster, a rented town north of Los Angeles County. It is located in the heart of the sparsely populated Antelope valley west of the Mojave Desert. In addition, more sequences were recorded in Valencia, a beautiful uninhabited community in the northwestern part of Los Angeles County.

Another filming took place in Monterey County, near the shores of Big Sur California, California. On its western side is the Pacific Ocean, and the mountains of Santa Lucia point to the east. A good view makes the coast a desirable destination for long-distance driving. The movie scene shows Bixby Creek Bridge, an amazing spandrel bridge on Highway One. Thanks to the iconic building, it has become one of the most photographed bridges in the province.
