Netflix’s “The Post-Truth World” or “Zuì hòu zhēn xiàng”, directed by Chen I-fu, is a Taiwanese crime mystery film that follows sports star Chang, who was convicted of killing his girlfriend seven years ago. He somehow manages to escape from prison and holds a once-famous commentator named Liu hostage. Liu’s desperation to be relevant again made him see such distress as an opportunity to rise to the top.
So Liu decides to investigate and find out the truth about Chang. But when he comes face to face with the truth, he is shocked. The thrilling and suspenseful aspects of the film are enhanced by the superb performances of a group of talented actors and actresses, including Joseph Chang, Edward Chen, Caitlin Fang, and Aviise Zhong. Plus, the gory visuals set against some interesting backdrops will probably raise questions in your mind about the actual filming locations.

“The Post-Truth World” was filmed completely in Taiwan. According to reports, principal photography for the crime thriller took place in late 2021, with filming wrapping up in late December of that year.
