Chalmette, a census-designated place (CDP) located in the parish of St. Bernard, is one of the locations where the cast and crew visited for the filming of the first season. The production team built massive sets to recreate the atmosphere and aesthetic of 1910s New Orleans. These sets were created in the facilities of The Ranch Film Studios.

The film and television production are located at 8301 West Judge Perez Drive, in the Torres Park Plaza area of Chalmette. It is spread over 22 acres and houses seven sound stages, five lots, and several office spaces. Popular movies and shows like “Black Bird” “Bill & Ted Face the Music,” and “Billionaire Boys Club” were filmed at the studio.
