Home for Harvest (2019) directed by Andrew Cymek is a romantic comedy with a signature character. The plot revolves around Katie (Brigitte Kingsley), a travel writer who discovers that she has to write her next article about her hometown.

Where Was Home for Harvest Movie Filmed?
“Home for Harvest” is set in the city of Greenville during what is supposed to be harvest season, and was filmed mostly in and around the province of Ontario. Filming took place from October 2018 to April 2019.
Port Perry
Much of the film was shot in Port Perry, a community located in Scugog, Ontario. Several scenes were filmed at Nature’s Bounty Farm, a beautiful orchard at 651 Scugog Line 2, Port Perry.
Port Perry is located 84 kilometers (52 mi) northeast of Toronto and is the administrative and commercial center of Scugog. The city has a rich history that dates back to the early 19th century when settlers began arriving in the area. The first known settler was Reuben Crandell, who was a United Empire loyalist.

In 1821, he and his wife established the first homestead in the area. In the following centuries, Port Perry gained a reputation as a vacation destination thanks to its Victorian-era downtown. ‘Reacher’ (2022-) and ‘Hemlock Grove’ (2013-2015) were also filmed in Port Perry.
Pontypool
Pontypool is an unincorporated village that is part of the incorporated city of Kawartha Lakes, Ontario. Some scenes of the movie were shot here. Pontypool’s history also dates back to the 19th century. At the time of the first census in 1835, farmers were already living in this area. The town was named after the town of the same name in Wales.

Pontypool was once a holiday destination for the Jewish people. There is a 2009 horror film called ‘Pontypool’ by Bruce McDonald. The film is set in the titular town and is based on the 1995 novel Pontypool Changes Everything by Tony Burgess.
