Amazon Prime’s ‘My Best Friend’s Exorcism’ Based on Grady Hendrix’s 2016 novel of the same name, is a comedy horror film directed by Damon Thomas and set in the late 1980s. The story follows two high school best friends – Abby and Gretchen – who have known each other since the fourth grade.
The two loose weight one evening, but things go horribly wrong when the other one starts acting differently. Abby, who is Gretchen’s best friend, investigates and discovers that she is possessed by a demon, which threatens the fate of their friendship.
