‘Bump’ is an Australian comedy-drama Tv series that revolves around a surprise pregnancy that complicates the lives of two families. The story follows Oly, an ambitious and studious 17-year-old girl whose perfect life is turned upside down when she discovers she is pregnant.
At first, due to the shock and unexpectedness of the situation, the child refuses completely. After all, if she doesn’t recognize her child, she doesn’t have to accept that her life has completely changed now.
But soon Oly begins to accept her fate, takes the child with her to school, and becomes close to Santi, the father of her child. Apart from the unique premise of the show, the inclusion of some prevalent themes like teenage pregnancy along with comedic elements will keep the viewers engaged with each episode.
Where Was Bump Series Filmed?
“Bump” is filmed entirely in Australia, specifically in Sydney. Principal photography for the initial iteration of the Australian series apparently began in late August 2020, while filming for the second round began around July 2021.
As filming took place during the Covid-19 pandemic, health and safety measures were put in place on set for the safety of cast and crew members. Now let’s walk through the specific locations that appear in the comedy-drama series!
Australia
All of the pivotal sequences for “Bump” take place in Sydney, the capital of the state of New South Wales and Australia’s most populous city. For the debut season, the crew transformed Sydney Secondary College’s Blackwattle Bay Campus on Taylor Street in the suburb of Glebe to stand in for the fictional Jubilee High.
As for the baptism scene in the first season, it was filmed at the Catholic Church of St. Brigid and its surroundings at 392 Marrickville Road in Marrickville.

The cast and crew of ‘Bump’ also camped out in several other locations, including the suburbs of Newtown and Enfield, to film some key Season 1 scenes. Due to production limitations caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the team had to use another school to portray Jubilee High in the second season.
They decided on Inaburra School on Billa Road in the suburb of Bangor as a replacement for Sydney Secondary College Blackwattle Bay Campus. Both institutions share a similar architecture, so it is difficult to notice the differences.
