“Virgin River” is a romantic drama series created by Sue Tenney. The story revolves around Melinda ‘Mel’ Monroe, a nurse who answers an ad for a new job and moves to the remote town of Virgin River. She thinks that the austere and remote town might be the perfect place to start over, only to find that small-town life isn’t as easy as she expected.
In season 4, Mel is not sure who her baby belongs to – her dead husband Mark or Jack. Although Jack tries to be supportive and exciting, the mystery of paternity continues to haunt him. The situation is further complicated by the arrival of a new doctor in town who wants to start his own family.
In addition to the captivating narrative, you must be wondering whether Virgin River is a real town or not, as well as the filming locations that appear in the fourth season of the tv series.
Where Was Virgin River Season 4 Series Filmed?
Season 4 of “Virgin River” was filmed entirely in British Columbia, mainly in Metro Vancouver and Squamish. Filming for the fourth iteration of the romance series apparently began in late July 2021 and ended in December of that year.
The production team probably used the same locations as in previous seasons of the show, making the production process smoother and easier.

Most of the key sequences for ‘Virgin River’ Season 4 were filmed in Metro Vancouver, a metropolitan area whose main urban center is in the city of Vancouver. The exterior of Park Warden Murdo Frazer’s cabin at 3092 Paisley Road in North Vancouver doubled for Melinda’s cabin in the town of Virgin River.
The production team remained in the city of North Vancouver for a little while longer, as several additional scenes for season 4 were also filmed around Cleveland Dam and on the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge at 3663 Park Road.

As for the exterior of Dr. Mulligan’s clinic, it was recorded using the exteriors of the mansion at 122 First Street in New Westminster. Additionally, scenes involving Paige’s Bake away truck in the fourth season were recorded at Burnaby Fraser Foreshore Park, located at 7751 Fraser Park Drive, Burnaby.
As with previous seasons, it’s possible that the cast and crew of “Virgin River” used the Northbrook Studios facility to film several interior scenes for Season 4 as well.
The 120,000-square-foot studio is located at 8820 Northbrook Court in Burnaby and includes four stages in two buildings with furnished offices and ample parking. In addition, the town of Port Coquitlam partially stood in for the town of Virgin River for several sequences in the fourth season.
Snug Cove, a community on the east coast of Bowen Island, played the fictional town of Virgin River in the show’s fourth installment, as it did in previous seasons.

In addition, the community’s main streets and the local library appeared in many scenes. Finally, several sequences appear to have been shot around Whonnock Lake, a natural muskeg lake in Maple Ridge, as well as in Vancouver.

To film the remaining episodes of ‘Virgin River’ Season 4, the cast and crew traveled north of Vancouver to Squamish, a community and district municipality at the northern end of Howe Sound.
The Watershed Grill at 41101 Government Road in Brackendale has once again doubled as a popular hangout spot, Jack’s Bar, in its fourth iteration. Some sections were also recorded along the Squamish River, a short but very large river in British Columbia.
