“The Call.” Serial killer movies are always intended to feel the coolness of the spine, but few can weave a cerebral ambiance that misleads the audience. In that regard, Brad Anderson’s 2013 psychedelic thriller game ‘The Call’ is up there with the classic style as it creates a great sense of horror.
Emergency services worker Jordan is an expert in high-energy work, but the death in the village disrupts his career. Traumatized by a mistake that could have serious consequences, Jordan becomes a coach. But the memory comes back to him as the man with the wrong desires kidnaps Casey.
Jordan realizes that Casey’s captor may have been involved in a previous case. Most of the story takes place in and around the Los Angeles district, from Fernando Boulevard to Santa Clarita Hills. The Call movie imagines Los Angeles as a dirty, dynamic city, using suburban areas in a new light.
Where Was The Call Movie Filmed?
‘The Call’ was recorded all over the US, especially in California and surrounding areas. The recording started on July 6, 2012, and will end in August of the same year, after a busy 25-day recording schedule. The story takes place in LA, and you would think it is natural for California to be a good place to record. Finding a place, however, was less direct.
Originally they wanted to record in California, but the low budget of $ 13 million did not provide them with the tax credit created by the California Film Commission. After getting off the track, crews wanted to film a film in Ottawa, Ontario. However, in the days leading up to the filming, CFC came to the fore with the news that it could handle a $ 1.9 million tax debt. CFC also helped the group find recording locations.

Almost the entire The Call film was shot in Los Angeles County – Burbank, Santa Clarita, and suburbs near Los Angeles. The launch series features Los Angeles nighttime glittering lights. In one of the scenes, Casey meets his friend in a mall.
While it was called “Shopping Plaza” in the movie, store scenes were shot at Burbank Town Center. Located at 201 East Magnolia, in the Burbank area, the mall has three levels of in-house shopping. This place is the mall found in the episode ‘Scarlet Ribbons’ from ‘The Mentalist.’

Through the “Hive” emergency dispatch center, staff found accommodations in Westlake Village, a town in central Los Angeles County. Burbank also represented a few additional locations, which appear to include parking lots, while other scenes include aerial views of Santa Clarita Hills. A memorable scene was filmed in the Canyon Country, located in Santa Clarita.

In one sequence, the killer stops at a gas station, and Casey tries to escape. The incident was recorded at Cornejo Tire & Automotive, a car mechanic and gas station located at 16493 Sierra Highway in the Canyon Country.

The latest intense sequel was recorded at Walt Disney’s Golden Oak Ranch, an 890-acre photography farm in 19802 on Placerita Canyon Road in Newhall, the oldest community in downtown Santa Clarita. The farm is a famous recording studio, and you can see it as Dwight Schrute’s ‘Office (US) farm.’
