“Bones and All” Based on Camille DeAngelis’ 2015 novel of the same name, is a romantic horror-drama directed by Luca Guadagnino that is a cannibalistic celebration of the romance between a young woman named Maren who devises a way how to survive on the fringes of society, and an intense young man named Lee. A chance encounter between the two leads to them embarking on a terrifying but unusually romantic trip across the states.
However, no matter how many miles they travel, their horrific pasts and cannibalistic realities catch up with them and test their love amid all the blood and horror around them. The coming-of-age narrative combines themes of a blossoming romance between two unfortunates with the gruesome theme of cannibalism in a way that makes for an unusually entertaining watch.
Additionally, the 1980s setting and the constant transition in the sets, as the couple travels across different states, are bound to raise questions in the minds of viewers about the actual filming locations.
