‘The Black Phone’ was completely recorded in North Carolina, especially in the states of New Hanover, Brunswick, and Columbus. Ethan Hawke’s star-studded photography began in February 2021 under the active title ‘Static’ and wrapped up at the end of March of that year.
Located in the southeastern region of the United States, North Carolina is known for its variety of heights and locations. The region has numerous large lakes, including Lake Tabor and Lake Waccamaw. The Green Wetlands are one of the most important features of the region.
