Hulu’s ‘The Bear’ is a series of black comedy-drama focusing on the talented and brilliant young chef, Carmen ‘Carmy’ Berzatto, who returns home to pick up his family’s sandwich shop after the tragic death of his brother. Far from being familiar with his, Carmy has had to deal with the challenges of running a small business with his kitchen staff, all the while accepting his brother’s shocking suicide.
Looking forward to transforming the family store and himself at the same time, Carmy works closely with imperfect kitchen workers to see if the party is the family of his choice. The relatively low tone used throughout the series highlights the darker aspects of the story, including the death of Carmy’s brother.

Where Was The Bear Series Filmed?
‘The Bear’ shot in Illinois, especially in Chicago and surrounding areas, is where the story unfolds. The filming of the pilot took place in July 2021 and the production of the first game continued in early February 2022 and was wrapped up in late March, within about 30 days of the total shooting.

In terms of recording scenes that include the Carmy family’s Original Beef sandwich shop in Chicagoland, a team of producers camped at a real sandwich shop called Mr. Beef On Orleans. It is located at 666 North Orleans Street in Chicago and represents the store featured in the comedy series, very well. Additional episodes of the series were recorded at Wicker Park, near North Damen Avenue. It is a famous place known for its art community, hipster culture, nightlife, and food.
