The events in The Fighter movie are from Lowell in Middlesex County, where most of them are being filmed. In the opening scene, Dicky and Micky walked in front of the TV crew. Ramalho’s West End Fitness Center, an old gymnasium located at 900 Lawrence Street, just south of South Lowell, has rented its facilities to record scenes. The Foxtail Lounge series where Micky poses for Charlene Fleming is taken from Buck’s Bar & Grill, a cheap pub located at 165 Chelmsford Street.
The private property at 2 Marshall Street on Grand Street represents Micky’s house in the movie. Outside scenes of Dicky’s crack house were filmed outside a greenhouse on Smith Street, between Westford and Branch in the Lower Highlands area of Lowell. In one sequence, Micky breaks his arm, leading the brothers to court. Scenes were filmed on the grounds of Middlesex County Superior Court House at 360 Gorham Street.

During the argument, the whole family takes food from the restaurant. The series is based on the lens at Olympia Restaurant, a popular Greek restaurant located at 453 Market Street. Micky O’Keefe gives another Micky some guarantee at Top Donut, a drive-thru donation shop on 700 Aiken Avenue. Boxing matches that took place across the USA in the film took place in Lowell.
Actors and the team set up the programs at the Tsongas Center, a popular stadium owned by the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Located at 300 Arcand Drive, Tsongas Center has an integrated level of Hawk ice hockey team and basketball teams. A few scenes were even filmed on Florence Road and Lura Street.

A team of producers moved out of Lowell and used other locations in Middlesex County. The Westford Regency Inn and Conference Center at 219 Littleton Road, Westford, represent the Atlantic City hotel. The resort is eight miles southwest of Lowell.
The scene where Micky and Charlene went to the movies was taken from a theater in Lexington, thought to be Lexington Venue on 1794 Massachusetts Avenue. Other important landmarks of Lexington town are Lexington Common, Old Burying Ground, Munroe Tavern, and Hancock-Clarke House.
