‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ is a sequel to the 2021 movie “Godzilla vs. Kong’. The previous film has been a great hit across the theaters around the world and the current action packed thriller is also roaring its fame around the World.
The two ancient giants, Godzilla and Kong, get together to fight a secret and potent enemy in the Hollow Earth that threatens both their species and human existence. This is the central plot point of the monster movie. The story also clarifies the unrecorded beginnings and relation to the Skull Island mysteries and the Titans.
The Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire film stars Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Dan Stevens, Kaylee Hottle, Alex Ferns, and Fala Chen. Hall, Henry, and Hottle reprise their roles from the previous film. In the film, Kong encounters more of his species in the Hollow Earth and must unite with Godzilla to stop their tyrannical leader and a powerful, climate-changing Titan from destroying the surface.
Where Was Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire Movie Filmed?
The production house uses various VFX and Cinematic graphics to provide a perfect backdrop and an amazing viewer experience.
The Godzilla series have been a hit since its original series and the sequels upcoming are no longer a joke. The Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire filming locations of such marvelous movies are also solid, including many locations around Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, Cairo in Egypt, Hong Kong, and Mexico. According to reports, the principal photography got underway in late July 2022 and wrapped up in six months or so, in November of the same year.
QUEENSLAND (AUSTRALIA)
The prominent southern city of the continent Australia, served a great purpose for the cinematography of the movie. The City of Gold Coast served as one of the prominent filming sites. The suburban area of Surfers Paradise served a greater purpose for the filming cite.
Alongside Oxenford. And its surrounding villages and local areas were also utilized for the monster movie. The studio in Oxenford is a prominent and most suitable studio which is loved by all the filmmakers. Movie World on Pacific Motorway in Oxenford, which is adjacent to it also witnessed some cinematic shots of the film being lensed at their studio.
RIO DE JANEIRO (BRAZIL)
“Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.” To shoot some exterior scenes, the flora and fauna of the brazilian city were utilized by the production team. One can see famous landmarks which can be seen in the movie such as including Christ the Redeemer, Maracanã Stadium, the Museum of Tomorrow, and the Sugarloaf Cable Car.

The city acted as a perfect backdrop for the outer scenes of the movie where the two monsters can be seen fighting in despair. The cast and crew filmed in and around the city, and we can see the beautiful background of the city in the movie’s scenes. Several sequences of the film were captured there.
CAIRO (EGYPT)
Many cinematic shots were also taken in the Egyptian country which acted as a prominent backdrop for the movie. One can see the prominent Great Pyramid of Giza, which comes within the geographical area of Cairo. It is known to be the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
MEXICO
In Addition to the above-mentioned locations, Mexico is one of the chosen locations for the movie, where the cast and crew spot filming.Mexico is well-known for its culture, breathtaking beaches, and incredibly delicious cuisine, and many more. The cuity has its own glamor packed in its breathtaking views and was a helpful location for the lensing of the Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire film.
