Where Was Physical 100 Season 2 Filmed?
The tasks and challenges include pushing around minecarts, rocks, suspended weights, competitive treadmill jogging, rope climbing, and frequently, other competitors. But the huge underground mine set in Physical 100 Season 2 is its most amazing aspect.
The backdrop is set in the iconic theme of the 19th century with ravel and stones creating a perfect charm for the unique mined background. The rugged iron arches, improvised timber scaffolding, and stony dungeons transport us to a harsh world of survival of the fittest, akin to Darwinism.
GOYANG (SOUTH KOREA)
Filming for the Physical 100 Season 2 successfully took place in the vibrant city of Goyang. It is one of Seoul’s satellite cities with a population of just over 1 million. The production team did a commendable work while creating a perfect and massive set on an underground mine theme which had a distinctive setting and jaw-dropping visuals with a cinematic backdrop.
The city was chosen due to its proximity to the capital city as well as its tax affordable and larger space area. The finale of the series was shot in the Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX), located in Ilsanseo-gu. The enormous venue, which has ten halls, an outdoor space, and a grand ballroom, is typically used for conferences, festivals, and regional trade shows.
Producer Jang Ho-gi chose a greek theme for the Physical 100 Season 1 but during the Physical 100 Season 2, he wanted to churn out the inner fierce energy of the contestants while also giving power-worthy and enormous visuals to the viewers.

Therefore with the mindset of creating a backdrop which had the power to show a mentally as well as physically fit visuals, the production team came with this wonderful concept and applied it.
The show transports us to this seedy world of primordial competitions, complete with an accurate replica of a vast mine that holds everything from MMA cages to jungle gym-style settings. To make it more immersive for all participants, the crew even added synthetic cobwebs that are hardly ever seen on cameras.
