“Undercover Holiday” Directed by Bradley Walsh, is a romantic comedy with a signature character from the “Countdown to Christmas” series. The plot revolves around Jaylen, a new pop star who is about to return home for the holidays.
Like all famous pop stars, she is supposed to be protected by a bodyguard at all times for obvious security reasons. However, bringing a stranger home is out of the question in her conservative household. Jaylen steps out of her way and brings Matt, her overzealous bodyguard, to pose as her partner at her family home.
Matt and Jaylen end up enjoying a great vacation with Jaylen’s family which sparks a Christmas romance. The couple must decide whether to keep their relationship on a professional level or to let it go and be true to their feelings.

Where Was Undercover Holiday Movie Filmed?
The ‘Undercover Holiday’ movie was filmed exclusively in Ontario, particularly in Brantford and Hamilton. Principal photography for the Hallmark movie began in early October 2022 and wrapped the same month.
Although there are no mountains in the area, there are significant highlands in Ontario, particularly in the Canadian Shield. It also has several lakes and rivers that are rich in minerals. The province is an excellent location for filming due to its vast and diverse scenery, which includes a Hallmark movie.

Most of the scenes in ‘Undercover Holiday’ were filmed in Brantford in southwestern Ontario. Several areas along George Street – from Darling Street to Dalhousie Street – and Dalhousie Street – from George Street to Market Street – in the city were used for the filming of the Hallmark movie. The production department had Christmas decorations covered in artificial snow to capture the authentic feel of a winter Christmas.

Designed for various hockey and skating organizations, athletic activities, local fundraisers, and live performances, the Civic Center served as the base camp for the entire cast and crew. Filming in Brantford reportedly continued for two days between October 12 and October 14, 2022.
According to the City of Brantford, a permit was issued to film after 11:00 PM on the aforementioned dates. Over the years, Brantford has hosted the production of several film projects such as “Let It, Snow,” “Romance Riverfront” “Welcome to Mooseport,” and more.

Several scenes from the Hallmark movie were apparently filmed in Hamilton, in the southern part of the province of Ontario. Located on the westernmost edge of Lake Ontario, the port city and its surroundings have a long history dating back to the pre-colonial era thanks to its ideal geographical location. Additionally, Hamilton’s location makes it one of North America’s leading business and transportation hubs.
Hamilton serves as a favorable filming location for filmmakers as it has suitable backdrops and well-developed infrastructure. The city is also preferred as a location for those looking forward to filming during the cooler seasons of the year.

Hamilton’s attractiveness as a manufacturing location is also significantly influenced by its proximity to Toronto, which features several leading manufacturing facilities. Over the years, the town has served as the setting for several Christmas movies, such as Christmas on Mistletoe Lake and Family Secret.
