Armageddon Time is a 2022 drama film written, directed, and produced by James Gray, inspired by his upbringing in Queens, New York in the 1980s. The film will star Anne Hathaway, Repeta Banks, Jeremy Strong, Jaylen Webb, and Anthony Hopkins. Filmed in New Jersey with cinematographer Darius Khondji.
Armageddon Time has its world premiere at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival on May 19, 2022, and will be released in the US by Focus Features on October 28, 2022.
The story follows a Jewish American student named Paul Graff who smokes pot with his African American friend Johnny. After this incident, Paul was forced to attend his brother’s private school run by Marianne Trump. Although Paul suffered a lot of abuse, his family stood by him and tried to support him completely through it all.

Where Was Armageddon Time Movie Filmed?
The Armageddon Time movie was filmed in New Jersey and New York, specifically in Teaneck, Hudson County, and New York. Filming begins in October 2021 in New Jersey. It is expected to begin in early 2021. In October, it was announced that Anthony Hopkins and Jeremy Strong will star alongside newcomers Jaylin Webb, Repeta Banks, and Ryan Sell, with Hopkins and Strong replacing De Niro and Issac.
Both Blanchett and Sutherland dropped out of the project after production began. Jessica Chastain was appointed as Blanchett’s replacement. Production wrapped in December 2021 with Andrew Polk and Tova Feldshuh confirmed to star. Domenico Lombardozzi was dropped as part of the role in March 2022.
New Jersey
The most important scenes for “Armageddon Time” were filmed in Hudson County, New Jersey’s most populous county. In particular, Jersey City, the county seat and second most populous city in New Jersey has become a major production location for drama. In addition, the production team took advantage of the location in Bayonne.

The set of Armageddon Time also traveled to Teaneck, Bergen County, New Jersey for shooting purposes. A private home on Wandelinda Avenue was used to film several key scenes for the film. Although only one property is used, the entire residence between Palmer Avenue and Palisade Avenue is used for parking. Also, the house across the street served as a green room during the day.
New York
The main part of the movie was recorded in New York City, where most of the story takes place. Queens and Manhattan are some of the sites that serve as the film’s main production locations. Some exterior shots are lensed around East 77th and East 78th Streets, 69th Avenue, Utopia Park, and Glade Arch in Central Park on the East Side of Queens’ Fresh Meadow Lane.
