“The Munsters” is a comedy film written and directed by Rob Zombie that serves as the origin story for the franchise’s characters. It mainly revolves around a group of monsters — Herman Munster, Lily Munster, and the Count. When Lily and Herman meet, sparks fly between them and they marry despite the disapproval of her hot-tempered and sarcastic father.
The callback to the famous 1960s sitcom is made all the more fun by the hilarious performances of an amazing cast consisting of Jeff Daniel Phillips, Sheri Moon Zombie, Daniel Roebuck, Richard Brake, and Sylvester McCoy. In addition, the setting of the fictional Mockingbird Lane and the deliberate use of an older camera style will probably make one wonder where “The Munsters” was filmed.
