Netflix’s “Santo” developed by Carlos López, is a Spanish action crime series featuring two police officers, Millán and Cardona, with many differences as they join forces to hunt down a mysterious and malevolent international drug trafficker named Santo.

Where Was Santo Series Filmed?
“Santo” is being filmed in Spain and Brazil, specifically in Madrid and Bahia. Principal photography for the inaugural iteration of the action series began in April 2021 and ended in November of that year.

Located right in the center of the Iberian Peninsula in the southern part of Meseta Central, Madrid combines modern infrastructure with well-preserved historic neighborhoods and streets, making it an ideal filming location for various types of productions, including the movie “Santo”.
Hosted the production of many films and television shows. Some of the notable ones are The Official Competition, Pan’s Labyrinth, The Warrior Nun, The Enemy, and The Girl in the Mirror.
Brazil
Several parts of the Spanish crime series are also filmed in Bahia, Brazil’s fourth-largest state by population and fifth-largest by area. During the later stages of production, the cast and crew were spotted filming several key sequences in Salvador, a Brazilian municipality and the capital city of Bahia.
