“The Gilded Age.” Appropriately named after a seasoned historical exhibition, ‘Cool Season’ revolves around a young woman named Marian Brook. The late daughter of the Union general is moving to New York City to live with her wealthy aunt, Agnes, and Ada. Although it did not take him long to become involved with social media, his life was greatly enriched by his friendship with a brilliant young woman, Peggy Scott.
In historical TV dramas, production teams have to go through a detailed process to ensure that the settings and locations are set according to the narrative requirements. And the name of the series itself suggests that the timing is important for the story. The Gilded Age.
Where Was The Gilded Age Series Filmed?
‘The Gilded Age’ is widely recorded in New York and Rhode Island provinces, especially in Troy, New York City, and Newport. According to reports, the first plan was to get the cameras launched in March 2020. But the outbreak of Coronavirus challenged the systems.
Finally, actors and crew start recording the first season in early 2021 and finish in the summer of 2021. However, it appears that the pilot is likely to be photographed in the fall of 2020.

“The Gilded Age.” Most of the exhibition is recorded in Troy, especially in the Central Troy Historic District. The cityscape is defined by a period structure that provides an appropriate setting for this drama series. A few important scenes were also filmed in the vicinity of Second and Third Street.
A notable feature of the exhibition is Washington Park on 195 2nd Street. It may be the end of a private residential park throughout New York except for Gramercy Park in New York City.

The GreenHouse Mansion is one of the buildings facing Washington Park. It appears in a few local sweeping photos. Another important production area in Troy is Monument Square. During the filming, the location was changed using artificial cobblestone, building facades, and the front of the store looked realistic. Chariots complete the appearance.

The Cannon Building – one of the oldest buildings in Monument Square – is visible in a few squares. The former Illium Café & Catering was modeled after the Bloomingdale Victorian era. Other venues in Troy from the series Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, Artcentric Marketplace on River Street, and Frear Building on Fulton Street. The recording reportedly took place on Broadway, Franklin Alley, and First Street.”The Gilded Age.”
Other sequences may be inscribed at Oakwood Cemetery, Hart Cluett Museum, and Rensselaer County Courthouse. The cast and crew reportedly used Troy Atrium to store the costumes and work on additional items. In addition, the team rented about 50 parking lots from Uncle Sam’s parking garage.

A prominent New York City site that lends itself to the show is Bethesda Fountain in Central Park. Located at 72 Terrace Drive, it is only a 3-minute drive from Bridge Bridge. Apparently, the group has created a few scenes on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. NYC artery, the street is known as one of the most expensive shopping malls in the world.

Lyndhurst Mansion at 635 South Broadway, Tarrytown is another visual production site on display. The Gothic Revival country house is a National Historic Landmark, making it suitable for the series ‘The Gilded Age.’ In addition, a few other parts of the New York region are used for recording. They are the Hudson River Museum in Yonkers and the North Shore on Long Island.
Rhode Island
“The Gilded Age.” The main characters in the series are shot in historic houses from the Gold Age – Chateau-sur-Mer and The Elms on Bellevue Avenue, and The Breakers on Ocher Point Avenue. Another mansion used by the organizers’ team is Seaview Terrace at 207 Ruggles Avenue.

According to sources, the recording was done at a historic site in The Point. Many locals were thrown as more, and those with the knowledge of trained kitchen workers were arrested to show the chefs and kitchen workers of the 1880s. Therefore, we can safely say that the production team travels a long way to achieve the 19th-century appearance in this drama series of the era. The Gilded Age.
