‘Phantom Thread’ is actually a romantic drama film revolving around a famous costume designer named Reynolds Woodcock. But her life took a turn for the worse when she met young waitress Alma, who had become her storehouse with her boyfriend. With the exception of Sir Daniel Day-Lewis ’(Reynolds Woodcock) who plays for the last time before retiring, the film is unforgettable due to its seasonal settings.

Where Was Phantom Thread Movie Filmed?
‘Phantom Thread’ was recorded in various parts of England and Switzerland. According to sources, it is Paul Thomas Anderson’s first film that was shot in the USA. The main images were reportedly made from January 2017 until the end of April 2017.
Interestingly, Anderson cared for cinematography, even though he did not have the necessary expertise. So he teamed up with camera operators and gaffers to create stunning visual aids.
England
An important part of the Phantom Thread film was shot in London, especially in 4 Fitzroy Square, Fitzrovia. The building on the Grade I list serves as the township of Reynolds Woodcock. This address now appears to belong to the British Association of Dermatologists.

Although the actors and staff faced some operational challenges, they loved filming in the area as locals and local businesses were very helpful and cooperative. The product has even been donated to local agencies such as the Fitzroy Square Frontagers ’& Garden Committee and the Fitzrovia Youth in Action.
The team also shot several scenes in different parts of London, including Serle Street, Carey Street, Chancery Lane, Bell Yard, Portugal Street, Star Yard, and Grafton Mews. A few outdoor sequences were fitted at Gordon Square Gardens and St Mary’s Gardens in Lambeth. A restaurant called Wild Honey St James is also included in the movie.

“Phantom Thread.” The North Yorkshire region is another important production area, where many important sequences were shot. Reynolds first meets Alma at a restaurant near her home. This was filmed at the Victoria Hotel, a 4-star facility on Station Road in a small fishing village on Robin Hood’s Bay near Whitby. To reflect the look of the season, workers had to change the windows, change the wallpaper, paint the space, and replace the lights. They also had to remove radiators.
In this film, we see Woodcock touring the Cleveland Way National Trail, along the North York Moors coast. In addition, some of you may see the paved streets of Staithes, a coastal town in the Scarborough area. Some memorable scenes are recorded in the coastal town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea.

Other North Yorkshire locations featured in the film are Metalworks Fabrication and Welding (doubling as a petrol station) and the Church of St Oswald in Lythe, as well as the Grosmont railway station.
Owlpen Manor in the market town of Dursley, Gloucestershire, represents Woodcock’s country house in a seasonal game. Switzerland
