Peacock’s “Poker Face” Created by Rian Johnson, is a mystery comedy-drama tv series that follows Charlie Cale, a woman with a special ability that helps her tell when someone is lying. Riding his Plymouth Barracuda, he’s constantly on the move, but with each stop, he makes along the way, he encounters unusual crimes and a different set of characters. In each episode, the crime and the perpetrator are shown at the beginning as Charlie tries to solve the mystery using his special ability.
The mystery series stars Natasha Lyonne and also features guest appearances from some popular names in the Hollywood industry, including Benjamin Bratt, Adrien Brody, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Stephanie Hsu, and David Castañeda. Where Was Poker Face Series Filmed?
“Poker Face” series is filmed in New York, California, and New Mexico, particularly in Ulster County, Orange County, Dutchess County, Putnam County, Los Angeles, and Albuquerque.
According to reports, principal photography for the initial iteration of the comedy show began in April 2022 and wrapped up in October of that year.
New York
Many key sequences for “Poker Face” take place in Ulster County, a county along the Hudson River in New York state. Woodland Pond at 100 Woodland Pond Circle in New Paltz represents a place called Mossy Oaks in the series. Additionally, Tetta’s Market and Pizzeria at 2082 County Road 3 in the Village of Olivebridge serves as an important filming location. The show also features a village and census site Accord.

Other parts of “Poker Face” are filmed in Orange County, a county in the Mid-Hudson region of New York state. The production team will be primarily camped out at Umbra of Newburgh at 9 Scobie Drive in the Town of Newburgh.
It is a film studio that is home to four soundstages of various sizes, office space, changing rooms, ample parking, green rooms, make-up rooms and not to mention a wide range of suitable filming locations around the studio.
All these advantages make Umbra of Newburgh an ideal production location for all kinds of film projects. In addition, the villages of Walden and Montgomery, the census site of New Windsor, and the town of Middletown also serve as pivotal production locations for the lead role of Natasha Lyonne.

The “Poker Face” crew also travels to other locations in New York State for filming purposes. In June 2022, the cast and crew were spotted filming several key scenes for the show’s debut season in Beacon, Dutchess County. Specifically, they set up camp around the Towne Crier Cafe at 379 Main Street and the Story Screen Beacon Theater at 445 Main Street, both in Beacon.
In addition, several episodes of Season 1 were performed in and around The Chance Theater at 6 Crannell Street in the City of Poughkeepsie, the Village of Fishkill, and the Village of Garrison in Putnam County.
California
It appears that some episodes of ‘Poker Face’ are also filmed in Los Angeles, the largest city in California and the second most populous city in the United States. Located in Southern California, LA is known for its upscale neighborhoods, beautiful beaches, extravagant real estate, and sprawling downtown.

In late August 2022, Natasha Lyonne and the rest of the crew were spotted taping several key segments for the first season of ‘Poker Face’ in and around Albuquerque. Also known as Duke City, Albuquerque is the most populous city in New Mexico.
