Northern Ireland
County Antrim
“Dracula Untold.” Most of the filming of director Gary Shore’s debut feature took place in Belfast, the largest city and capital of Northern Ireland. Much of the town is located in County Antrim, which lies in the northeastern part of Northern Ireland. Methodist College’s McArthur Hall at 1 Malone Road doubled up as the castle’s interiors, while Wolfhill Quarry and Black Mountain served as filming locations for the battle sequences.
Some of the shootings also took place at Leslie Hill, a mid-18th-century stately home near Ballymoney, County Antrim, according to reports. Stiles Way in Antrim is also a filming location. The Giant’s Causeway and Divis Mountain are two of the most popular filming locations for a vampire-themed movie.
The Giant’s Causeway, a vast span of some 40,000 interlocking black basalt columns, stood as the fictional Transylvanian mountains known as Broken Tooth.

Meanwhile, Mount Divis, which is only 6 miles away from the center of Belfast, served as an arena for battle scenes. As part of the County Antrim sea coast, the location offers breathtaking beauty complemented by strong winds and massive waves. Director Gary Shore told RadioTimes that he wanted the Transylvania Mountains to look very fantastic and different from any other mountain. Therefore, he shot on location for about a day. “Dracula Untold.”
Forth River Business Park on Springfield Road, the Decco Building on Prince Regent Road, and the Britvic Building on Castlereagh Road also served as filming locations. The cast and crew also used Titanic Studios on Queens Road to shoot several sequences. One of the largest film studios in Europe, the production facility has also been used for ‘Your Highness’, ‘Game of Thrones, and ‘City of Ember’.
County Londonderry

The wooded area of the park and the river lend themselves to a grey, gloomy backdrop that enhances Vlad’s transformation into a vampire. Country Park and O’Cahan’s Rock are shown as a forest stream and the base of Broken Tooth Mountain.
County Tyrone
In addition to these locations, the film was probably filmed at the Ulster History Park in Omagh, County Tyrone.

County Down
“Dracula Untold.” Newtownards, a town a few miles east of Belfast in County Down, also served as one of the main shooting locations. Here the team used locations such as Killynether Wood, Scrabo Country Park, and Mount Stewart for their desolate and ancient aesthetics.

Since the film is set in the 15th century, the vast grounds and grand castle-like structures fit perfectly with the tone and design of the film. The gardens at the 19th-century house, Mount Stewart, actually doubled as the grounds of Dracula’s Castle.
The film was also filmed in the famous Tollymore Forest Park in the resort of Newcastle. The location is promoted by the popular HBO show “Game of Thrones”. Many scenes from the fantasy-drama show were filmed at this location.

Mesmerized by the vast expanse of the wooded area and the canopy of leaves, Gary Shore filmed various scenes in the park. One of the most significant scenes filmed in the park is the fight between the Janissaries and Vlad’s people. The cast and crew likely filmed several scenes in the village of Strangford.
