Netflix’s “HollyBlood” directed by Jesús Font, is a Spanish horror comedy that follows a shy high school student, Javi, who is in love with his classmate, Sara. However, she seems to be obsessed with the HollyBlood series of vampire books.” While Javi is determined to work up the courage to tell Sara about her feelings, a series of unexpected events and misunderstandings occur and she believes she is a vampire with superpowers.
Things get even more complicated when the threat of a real vampire inhabits the high school, causing Javi and Sara, along with their other classmates, to confront the evil threat and fight it to get out alive.

Where Was HollyBlood Movie Filmed?
“HollyBlood” was filmed exclusively in Spain, specifically in the communities of Valencia, Madrid, Bronchales, and Teruel. Principal photography on the vampire movie began in April 2021 and ended after about a month at the end of May of that year.

Spain
Most of the “HollyBlood” was distributed across the Community of Valencia, Spain’s fourth most populous autonomous community. For shooting purposes, the team set up camp in various locations throughout Valencia, including the Feria de Valencia in Av. de les Fires, s/n, Teatro Olympia in C. de Sant Vicent Màrtir, 44, Polideportivo El Carmen/Piscina – Gimnasio in Carrer del Dr. Chiarri, 7, and Coven Carmen in Plaça de Mossén Sorell, 3.
The Märzo Studio in C/ de Llíria, 16 also served as an important filming location for the horror comedy. It is an architecture and design studio founded by Alejandro Konrad in March 2018.

In addition, several key sequences for the film were shot in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and seemingly around the Viabizzuno Vbovalencia at Carrer de Cirilo Amorós, 48. During filming, the cast and crew were seen filming several scenes on location at the Almacén de José. Ribera at Plaça Glorieta de l’Estació, 5, and El Musical de Carcaixent café bar at Carrer de Julián Ribera, 26 (which is permanently closed), both in Carcaixent.
Other locations where HollyBlood was filmed include the Asilo de los Ancianos Desamparados de Sueca in Av. del Mar, 2 in Sueca, Monastery of Sant Jeroni de Cotalba (Real Monasteri de Sant Jeroni de Cotalba) in Autovía Gandía-L’Ollería (CV-60), Salida 35 in Alfauir, Policia Local de Massanassa in Carrer dels Comtes de Trigona, 31 in Massanassa, and the city of Paterna.

Other parts of ‘HollyBlood’ were apparently filmed in Madrid, Spain’s capital and most populous city. Área Recreativa Fuente Majada de las Vacas on A-1512, Km. 64, 3 in Orihuela del Tremedal, Teruel served as an important production location for the Netflix film.
In early May 2021, the film crew was also spotted filming some sequences in Bronchales, a village, and municipality in the Sierra de Albarracín province of Teruel.
