The interior scenes of ‘The Champion’ were partly filmed in the Modlin Fortress (also known as Twierdza Modlin), located in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki. It is one of the largest 19th-century fortresses in Poland and was built by the French between 1806 and 1812. It currently houses Polish military facilities but is open to tourists. The camera crew was shooting sequences in other parts of the city as well.
