“Love’s Portrait” is a romantic drama film directed by John Lyde from a script Lyde co-wrote with Brittany Wiscombe. It follows Lily, a museum curator, who discovers a painting that closely resembles her. As a result, Lily embarks on an epic adventure to Ireland in hopes of meeting the artist of the painting.

Where Was Love’s Portrait Movie Filmed?

Located on the River Nore, the village features historic buildings and rich natural vegetation, making it a popular filming location. Scenes were filmed at Cullintra House, a bread and breakfast in Inistioge. The Otter Bar, a popular restaurant in Inistioge, features prominently in the film.

“Portrait of Love” was partially filmed in Kilkenny, a city in County Kilkenny. Kilkenny City is a popular tourist destination and local attractions include St Canice’s Cathedral, Kilkenny Castle, Shee Alms House, Rothe House, St Mary’s Cathedral, Black Abbey, and Kilkenny Town Hall, among others.
It is also known for its public gardens and museums. Wallslough Village Holiday Cottages, a holiday retreat in Kilkenny, serves as one of the filming locations for the film.

The film crew visited Jerpoint Abbey to film several scenes. Jerpoint Abbey is a ruined Cistercian abbey founded in the second half of the 12th century. Located near Thomastown, County Kilkenny, it is noted for its architectural style.
Utah
Springville, a city in Utah County, is one of the locations where the cast and crew filmed footage. It is famous as the filming location of the popular dance romance movie “Footloose” from 1984. The city is also known for its art and culture.
