Created by Marcela Citterio, Netflix’s “Lady Voyeur,” or ‘Olhar Indiscreto’, is a Brazilian crime thriller that follows Miranda, a gifted hacker with voyeuristic tendencies. She spends her days observing the luxury escort Cléo, who lives in the building next to her. She unexpectedly comes to Miranda’s house one day and asks her to watch her puppy while she is gone. From then on, her fate changes forever when she gets into trouble.
The suspenseful narrative of the series is complemented by equally impressive performances from a talented cast consisting of Débora Nascimento, Ângelo Rodrigues, Emanuelle Araújo, and Nikolas Antunes. At the same time, the use of a relatively darker undertone against the backdrop of a sprawling city makes the audience wonder where ‘Lady Voyeur’ is filmed.
