Netflix’s ‘Treason’ Created by Matt Charman, is an action thriller series that follows the seemingly settled life of Adam Lawrence after being trained and groomed by MI6. However, when Kara, a Russian spy who was part of his complicated past, re-enters his life, things are turned upside down as he is forced to question everything and everyone around him.
The result is an intertwined relationship between Adam, his wife Maddy, and Kara, each on the verge of unearthing the other’s buried secrets.
Now the three must trust no one but themselves and try to hold on to their lives. While the suspenseful narrative keeps viewers on the edge of their seats during each episode, the relatively darker visuals behind some interesting locations make one wonder about the actual filming locations of “Treason.”
Where Was Treason Series Filmed?
Treason is filmed in England, mainly in London, Hertfordshire, and Kent. According to reports, principal photography for the action-drama series began in January 2022 and ended in August of the same year.

Many key sequences for ‘Treason’ take place in London, the capital and largest city of England and the United Kingdom. The production team is said to be setting up camp in various locations across the capital, including Borough Market at 8 Southwark Street, Southwark Park on Gomm Road, and Gordon Square in Bloomsbury. Additionally, several exterior scenes are recorded around America Street and Endsleigh Street.
In February 2022, the cast and crew were spotted filming some key parts of the debut season in the suburb of Teddington. Specifically, they used the Teddington School site on Broom Road and the Broom Road Recreation Ground on Trowlock Way. Over the years, London has hosted the production of many films and TV shows. Some notable ones are Tenet, No Time to Die, Slow Horses, and SAS Rogue Heroes.

Other portions of the film “Treason” are filmed in Hertfordshire, one of the home counties in the southern part of England. Specifically, the film unit stopped between the town of Harpenden and the town of St. Albans at Childwickbury Manor to record several key scenes for Season 1 of the Netflix series.
Located in the village of Childwickbury, just off the A1081 Harpenden Road, the estate is home to 12 reception rooms, 11 staff quarters, 18 beds and cloakrooms, 10 bathrooms, and a walled garden.
For shooting purposes, the ‘Treason’ team also travels to Kent, a county in the southeast of England. For filming the first season of the action thriller series, they mostly used locations in the southeastern parts of the region.

Additionally, the exterior of Sessions House in Maidstone, Kent’s largest town, functions as the Westminster Building in the show. Located in the southeast of England, Kent’s economy depends on a variety of industries, including agriculture, logistics, tourism, transport, and many others.
