Netflix’s “The Most Beautiful Flower” or “La Flor Más Bella” Created by Michelle Rodríguez and Fernanda Eguiarte Hernández, is a Mexican comedy series inspired by the real-life experiences of Mexican comedian Michelle Rodríguez during her teenage years.
The story follows a self-confident high school student, Mich, who believes she is both fashionable and fabulous. As she navigates school life and deals with all the obstacles that come with it, including family traditions and love triangles, Micha’s goal is to become the best version of herself and prove herself to others at school.
The coming-of-age narrative sheds light on some real challenges that teenagers usually face, but with a comedic twist, making it both eye-opening and entertaining. Impressive performances from the talented cast of Esmeralda Soto, Isabel Yudice, and Alicia Vélez complement and enhance the narrative. Plus, the high school setting takes us back to our teenage years and makes us wonder where The Most Beautiful Flower was filmed.
