Many locations on the other side of Haworth Main Street were given a makeover to represent appropriate shops for the film, such as The Souk being transformed into Oakworth Village Butchers and new signs being put up for the Red Lion pub and clothing store.

The Bents Farm in Oxenhope doubled as a children’s home in the film, which is also known as the Three Chimneys. It also appears in the original film. As for the US Army Base sequences, they were filmed at Salts Mill on Victoria Road in Saltaire.
To film the train sequences, the film unit used mainly three steam locomotives — 5820 USA Transportation Corp Class S160 (also known as “Big Jim”), 43924 LMS Class 4F, and 45596 “Bahamas” LMS Jubilee Class.
