See Season 3 Episode 3: Recap
The episode begins with Baba bringing news of the bombs to Pennsy. At first, Maghra, Harlan, and the others don’t know what to do with the information. When Baba attacked Trover, Maghra imprisoned him, whereas Haniwa came to talk to her father. She still remains her father’s daughter. When Maghra comes to visit them, Haniwa demands her father’s release.
Meanwhile, religious fanatics become rabid and adventurous. They almost burned Haniwa alive last time. This time they almost kill Kofun in an alley attack, but the sighted youth is saved by the timely arrival of Charlotte and Baba. Enraged by the attacks, Maghra decides to retaliate and execute the fanatics, but Tamacti Jun speaks on behalf of his former colleagues. In the end, Maghra executes the three people who directly participated in the burning of the sighted individual and lets the others off with just a warning. While Tamacti tells her that it was a good decision, Haniwa becomes angry with her mother.
Wren finally reaches Pennsy and is reunited with Haniwa. From her, the Payans learn that Baba was right about the bombs. It is also Wren who informs the group of Jerlamarel’s death. Maghra, who has a complicated history with Jerlamarel, mourns for him. In the end, it is decided that Baba will return to the House of Enlightenment with Kofun, Haniwa, Wren, and Charlotte; rescue Jerlamarel’s remaining children from Trivantian custody, and destroy the bombs.
After learning that the bombs are made of coal, Harlan confronts Trover, who assures him that she had nothing to do with it. Meanwhile, Kofun is revealed to be the one who freed Sibeth, who is now hiding in a hidden room not far from where she was originally held. Kofun brings former Queen Payan food for several days and tells her that she must go on an expedition and give her information about the bombs. After he leaves, Harmony emerges from the shadows and it is revealed that Sibeth has managed to switch her loyalties.
