The cast and crew of Medieval filmed numerous scenes in the capital city of Prague, specifically on the iconic Charles Bridge, a medieval stone arch bridge built over the Vltava River. Other scenes were borrowed from Skanzen Řepora Ve Výrech, 15500 Řeporyje.

Some parts were also filmed on the soundstages of Barrandov Studios on Kříženecký nám. 322/5, 152 00 Prague 5-Hlubočepy. Established in 1931, it spans 112,000 square feet and includes nine sound stages and various other production facilities. Films such as Jojo Rabbit, Snowpiercer, and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe were filmed at Barrand Studios.

Key parts of the film were shot in the Central Bohemia region, known for its mountainous terrain and castles. Well-known castles such as Křivoklát Castle, Točník Castle, and Zvíkov Castle appear in various scenes, together with the church of St. Bartholomew in Cologne. In addition, important scenes were filmed in Velká America, a limestone quarry in the village of Mořina, and Nymburk, a town on the Elbe.
The filming unit continued to the South Bohemian Region, where the scenes were filmed on the premises of Orlík Castle, a 13th-century castle owned by the Schwarzenberg family, located above the Vltava River. The majestic castle adjoins a vast English-style park with various trees, shrubs, and flowers. In addition, the team even used other regional locations to film important sequences.

Some parts of “Medieval” was filmed in other parts of the country, such as in the Czech Switzerland region, where the production team camped at Dolský mlýn, a former three-wheeled mill and sawmill on the Kamenice River. Last but not least, several scenes were filmed across the Ústí Region, especially in the villages of Jetřichovice and Hřensko in the Děčín district.
