Netflix’s Diorama, written and directed by Tuva Novotny, is a Swedish romantic drama that follows the love story of Frida and Björn. As they deal with a misunderstanding between them, it opens the door for some fragile relationships in their relationship as temptation surrounds them. The dramatic film portrays the different stages of love, starting with passion after marriage and finally family life from a scientific perspective. Told through dioramas, it depicts Frida and Björn’s once-passionate marriage hitting a rough patch as they try to find themselves again.
The Swedish film features stellar performances from a talented group of actors, including Pio Tjelto, David Dencik, Claes Bang, Morgan Alling, and Gustav Lindh. While the realistic portrayal of love and marriage generally makes the audience feel connected and invested in the comedy-drama, the use of different backdrops in the sets makes one fascinated to know more about the filming locations.
