She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Season 1 Episode 1: Recap
She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Season 1 Episode 1 opens with Jennifer preparing her closing argument for the case against a company called GLK and H in front of Nikki and Dennis Bukowski (Drew Matthews). Then she turns to us, the audience, to say that we won’t enjoy the show if we don’t know its origins. So it sends us into a flashback where Jennifer and Bruce are riding together.
Their main topic of discussion is whether Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) died a virgin. Bruce has created a prototype force inhibitor that allows him to remain in human form. But that backfires because when a Sakaarian ship appears out of nowhere and Jennifer crashes the car, he starts bleeding. Drops of his irradiated blood drip into Jennifer’s open wound. And so she becomes the Hulk.
After getting lost in the jungle and nearly killing three sexist dudes outside a bar, Jennifer wakes up in the Hulk’s shack/bunker/lab/home in Mexico. Smart Hulk says that this is where he spent all his time integrating his Hulk-Banner identities. Apparently, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) helped him with the construction. Then Hulk brings the conversation back to Jennifer and basically recaps everything that led up to her becoming the Hulk.
He explains that they both share a rare combination of genetic factors that didn’t kill them from the radiation. Based on the revelation in the last episode of “Ms. Marvel,” it’s safe to assume Hulk is saying they’re mutants. The Hulk also says that Jennifer’s irradiated blood helped him completely heal the wound (which was destroyed after the Blip).
