“Tales of the Walking Dead” was filmed entirely in Georgia, specifically in the Atlanta metropolitan area. Principal photography for the inaugural iteration of the series reportedly began in January 2022 and seemingly wrapped up in April of that year.

Most of the pivotal parts of “Tales of the Walking Dead” take place in the Atlanta metropolitan area, Georgia’s most populous metropolitan statistical area. During the early stages of production on the first season, the crew rented the property at 5711 Holiday Road, located on a small stop in Buford, and closed it to the public during filming to avoid interruptions.
According to reports, the team filmed key sequences for Season 1 on location for approximately 53 days, creating a prop store called Mini Mart and a prop Mexican restaurant called 2 Panchos. Several scenes were also shot on Main Street in Buford, and the Gwinnett County Police Department provided security and traffic directions.
During filming, the cast and crew were spotted filming many scenes in and around Atlanta, Georgia’s capital and most populous city. The Jackson Street Bridge is one of the locations that served as an important filming location; the production team also camped at Stone Mountain Park near Atlanta.
Unfortunately, in April 2022, a crew member was involved in an accident on set after production had ended for the day.
