However, in sMothered season 2, two more Florida-based mother-daughter couples were included in the show – Mary-Brittani and Laurie-Sarah. In sMothered season 2, scenes involving the duo Laurie and Sarah were filmed in Port St. Lucie (where Laurie lives) and Boca Raton (where Sarah lives).
New York
New York State also appears in the first four seasons, as Cher lives in the Big Apple, miles away from her daughter Dawn. In sMothered Season 2, the scenes following Marcia and Alena were filmed in and around Briarcliff Manor, a suburban village in Westchester County, New York. It is located just 30 miles north of New York.
California
The production team camped in California, a state in the western United States, for the inaugural and fourth seasons. In the first installment, the scenes involving Sandra and Mariah took place in and around Los Angeles, a sprawling large Southern California city in Los Angeles County.

Louisiana
All key scenes involving the mother-daughter duo Lauren and Lisa in seasons 3 and 4 were filmed in New Orleans, a consolidated city parish in southeastern Louisiana. New Orleans is known for its unique dialects, distinctive music, Creole cuisine, and several annual celebrations such as Mardi Gras.

Some notable state parks and historic sites in Hawaii are Fort Elizabeth Russian State Historical Park, Ahukini State Recreation Pier, and Pala’au State Park to name a few.
Alabama
The scenes with Karla and Rykia in the third iteration of the reality show were filmed in Jacksonville, a city in Calhoun County, Alabama. It is home to Jacksonville State University, which is considered a center of commerce and is one of the largest employers in the area.
