The movie ‘Don’t Blame Karma!’ was shot entirely in Mexico, specifically in the Yucatan. Principal photography on the Netflix film is said to have started in July 2021 and wrapped up in August that year.
The production team added an element of authenticity to the narrative by choosing to shoot most of the sequences in the locations where the story takes place.

Specifically, they visited La Negrita Cantina, a live music bar on Calle 62 Esquina, C. 49 415, in the historic Centro district. Mérida is the capital of Yucatan and the largest city on the Yucatan Peninsula. In addition, the city of Celestún served as a prominent filming location for the film, especially Playa de Celestún.
Several parts of the Mexican film were also recorded at Hacienda Temozon, a luxury collection hotel, Temozon Sur at km 182 of the Carretera Merida-Uxmal in Temozon Sur. The cast and crew even seem to have used the location of Progreso, a port city in the Yucatán on the Gulf of Mexico.
