Resurrection, written and directed by Andrew Semans, is a psychological thriller that follows the life of Margaret, who has raised her teenage daughter on her own and is ready to enter a prestigious university. But her perfectly ordered life is disoriented when a shadow from her past returns to her life – in the form of her abusive ex-boyfriend David.
Monsters from her dark past, which she has kept under her bed for nearly two decades, resurface and force her to confront them as she begins to lose her grip on reality.
A deeply suspenseful yet compelling story is complemented by stellar performances from a talented cast of actors and actresses such as Rebecca Hall, Tim Roth, Grace Kaufman, Michael Esper, and Angela Wong Carbone.
Also, what might interest you more is the ominous undertone used throughout on some interesting set pieces that reflect the overall mood of the Resurrection film.
