Di4ries Tv Series Filming Locations
“Di4ries” is being shot entirely in Italy, specifically in the Bay of Naples, Italy. Principal photography for the inaugural iteration of the Italian series seemingly began in August 2021 and ended in December of that year. Although the story takes place in Marina Piccola, the production team does a great job of creating a scenic community on a volcanic island that is a match for the resort.
Italy, officially known as the Italian Republic, is a country that has a peninsula bordered by the Alps and is surrounded by various islands, making it a picturesque location for filming.
All key sequences of “Di4ries” take place on Ischia, a volcanic island in the Tyrrhenian Sea at the northern end of the Bay of Naples. According to reports, the cast and crew of Netflix‘s Italian production did not use any soundstages for the first season, as all scenes, including the school and exterior scenic shots, were shot on location throughout the picturesque island.
As the largest of the Phlegrean Islands, Ischia is almost entirely mountainous, as you may have noticed in the background of the series. The island is home to several tourist attractions such as the La Mortella Gardens, Aragonese Castle (Castello Aragonese), Maronti Beach, Villa La Colombia, Sorgeto Bay, and Pitthekoussai Archaeological Museum, and Angelo Rizzoli Museum. In addition to being full of tourists, Ischia is also visited by filmmakers.
Over the years, the island has served as a prominent production location for various types of filming projects, mainly due to its picturesque features. In addition to “Di4ries”, Ischia has appeared in several films and TV series; some notable ones are ‘Purple Noon’, ‘The Man from U.N.C.L.E.’, ‘And While We Were Here’ and ‘My Great Friend’.
