Motherland: Fort Salem Season 3 Episode 5: Recap
In Motherland: Fort Salem Season 3 Episode 5, Anacostia is able to use Spree’s work to convince Sterling and Anacostia to kill each other, as the two doctors were given unguarded responsibility for operating on Anacostia and Sterling.
However, to show how much Scylla has trained her, Anacostia attempts to use Spreva’s magic to modify her face and ultimately gain her and Sterling’s freedom, sparing their vocal cords in the process. But before they start to leave, they watch a training drill in which a large number of the Camarilla are preparing for battle – like a personal army.
As expected, the Great River Council appears. Before they talk to some members of the Bellweather Unit, they come to a decision. Nicte, who has now left the room, predicted this, but Abigail still doesn’t believe it. She tries to speak for himself along with Scylla, Adil, and Tally.
They even make Adil speak all their languages. This impresses Milly; however, Thelma, the Cherokee representative, is not pleased and seems ready to speak on behalf of the Council about their choice. Which was originally supposed to send the Bellweather Unit to Washington, DC to accomplish their goals.
Throughout the ordeal, Milly and her cousin Thelma argue about it, and Scylla’s impassioned speech about Cession being closest to home and Raelle being from there seems to sway opinions in addition to invoking the Camarilla. However, the Bellweather Unit’s promise to leave and move to California instead of seeking safety is what gives them the upper hand.
They seem fine with the Bellweather unit staying another night and Thelma escorting them off their property in the morning.
