Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 2 Episode 1, Kazuya wakes up in his apartment and realizes that his days with Chizuru as a boyfriend are about to end. He can’t help but remember that she has been a great help to him during the months they have known each other. However, his grandmother’s love for Chizuru is a big problem as he knows he will have to come up with an excuse to explain why they are no longer living together.
Chizuru has planned not to work as a rented girlfriend as she intends to focus on her acting career. Although this decision alone is good for her future, Kazuya, who seems to have built up a reputation for himself, seems to be struggling thinking that she will not be able to spend time with Chizuru as her boyfriend. Although he picks up his phone to tell her grandmother the bad news, Kazuya decides against it at the last minute as he realizes he will have plenty of time to think about it once she stops.
Kazuya recalls that Chizuru had told her about her match when they last met. She was excited as the famous director was going to visit the theater and impersonate people for his upcoming project. At first, he feels that things are not going well for her, but her cool character and impressive presentation make everyone laugh. Even Kazuya can’t hold back her laughter after a while, and Chizuru’s performance just won every one.
In her final scene, Chizuru’s character dies, and she changes her personality so naturally that the audience is moved with tears. The match ends 30 minutes after Chizuru’s place is over, and Kazuya is confident she has taken the game into her hands in an unbelievable way, so she should definitely get a chance to impersonate the director.
