Only Murders in the Building Season 2 Episode 1, entitled ‘Persons of Interest,’ opens after the mysterious killings of Bunny Folger and Mabel, one of the main suspects in the case. As Charles and Oliver were also present at the scene, police interrogated them.
However, with a murder weapon, and a knitting knife missing, police were forced to release the three from custody. After returning to Arconia, Mabel is contacted by Alice (Cara Delevingne), who runs an art studio in NYC. Meanwhile, Charles is being offered a part in the re-launch of his hit single Brazzos.’
In Arconia, Oliver meets Amy Schumer. She is moving to Sting’s apartment and wishes to improve the three-pronged television podcast. Cinda Canning (Tina Fey) announces a podcast investigating Bunny’s death. On the other hand, Charles, Mabel, and Oliver decided to continue their podcast to prove their innocence. To begin their investigation, the three decided to explore Bunny’s home, where they met her pet bird Mrs. Gambolini.
The three were forced to hide inside a cupboard when neighbors Uma and Howard entered the apartment without saying anything. From a conversation between Uma and Howard, the three learned that Bunny has a drawing worth millions of dollars. Thus, Charles, Mabel, and Oliver discovered that the drawing would lead them directly to the killer. Eventually, they found a painting in Charles’ apartment. Moreover, the painting depicts a naked man whom Charles described as his father.
Only Murders in the Building Season 2 Episode 2, titled ‘Framed,’ opens with a flashback revealing that Bunny was the grandson of Arconia artist Archibald Carter. Meanwhile, Charles, Mabel, and Oliver are confused about the presence of a painting in Charles’ home. Anyway, they get rid of it as soon as they can get them killed in Bunny’s murder. Howard invites the three to Bunny’s memorial, where they meet Bunny’s mother, Leonora, the real owner of the painting.
Charles tries to learn more about Bunny and the painting from Leonora. At that moment, Mable meets Alica, and Brave discusses ideas for a TV show with Amy Schumer. However, Oliver is devastated when learns that Amy has abandoned the painting in a dumpster.
Soon, Leonora arrives at Amy’s house to take a painting. However, she is saddened to hear that the painting is not. Before leaving, Leonora revealed that Charles’ father had an affair with her and a painter, Rose Cooper. Finally, amateur podcasters return to the first square of their investigation.
