‘Front Cover’ is a rom-com film released in 2015 about the gay fashion style and her problems with a famous foreign celebrity. Ryan Fu is a Chinese-American gay man who hides his Asian origins in order to further his career in the fashion industry. With his hard work and dedication, Ryan finds the work of his dreams and works as an assistant for Francesca, a well-known fashion designer.
His boss assigns him to help Qi Xiao Ning, a Beijing actress who insists that his style artist be Chinese. As the stylist and actors meet, their ideas clash as Ning rejects anything from the West. However, they both quickly realize that they may have something in common with each other.
The film is praised for its history and for exposing the inner conflict one might face with culture and gender. Jake Choi, James Chen, Elizabeth Sung, and a few other actors did a great job of making the actors live and establishing contact with the audience. The entire ‘Front Cover’ was fitted with a lens at various locations in New York City. Most of the production took place at Silvercup Studios, one of the most famous film and television production venues in the city.
Located at 42-22 22nd Street in Long Island City, Queens, the center has been in operation since 1983. The venue has 23 fully equipped audio segments used by many filmmakers. Over the years, the film studio has become a major producer of television programs.

Outside of the Queens region, ‘Front Cover’ was also shot in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Staten Island. The film attempts to capture the essence of New York City and its prominence in the fashion industry.
