CBI 5: The Brain: Synopsis
“CBI 5: The Brain.” The story begins with C.B.I. an officer taking the class on the future collection of I.P.S. officials. The C.B.I. decides to teach them a lesson about the unexpected events they will encounter while on the job and tells the story of a case that disturbed their minds. He recounts the details of the case and relates the case of the basket case. In this case, many people were killed, but murder was ruled as death by natural causes. Students listened attentively and used it as an example to move forward with their future.
The “Basket Killings” case was the most confusing issue for both C.B.I. and the Kerala police. It started with the death of Minister Samad, followed by the death of his doctor, Dr. Venu, a freelance journalist, Basuran, a policeman, Josemon, and a sand contractor, Sam. After the death of Minister Samad, autopsy reports determined that the deaths were natural due to heart disease. However, Basuran has raised suspicions about the death and allegations of a bad match.
After the death of the doctor and Basuran, the media began to jump on the bandwagon and became skeptical. The last straw was given for the murder of Josemon. Kerala police, led by D.Y.S.P. Sathyadas, had full hands and decided to pursue a lead on a sand contract, Sam. Satathyadas believed that Sam was responsible for Josemon’s death. However, he made sure that all the blame fell on Sam so that he could save his friend Subhash, another sand contractor.
Satathyadas had his fair share of bribery and was a corrupt official. However, he hated the C.B.I. and he was disgusted at how they handled all their interesting cases. He completed the evidence and simply provided a brief description of Josemon’s case to C.B.I. when he appealed to them. Advocate Pratibha, the wife of Syathyadas, was the one who referred the case to C.B.I. Satathyadas first became angry, then asserted that he was not helping the C.B.I. and was completed with the evidence.
The C.B.I. found the real reason after Patratibha’s decision. She was adamant that would not allow them to win the case and wanted to see them fail. Another reason for the move was her affair with Sam. If her husband, Syathyadas, caught wind of the affair, there would be a huge argument at the house, there may be some conflict in the family. There was a rift between them over her presentation of the case to C.B.I.
After the C.B.I. found out her affair with Sam, they accused her of killing Josemon. Pratibha, however, denied the allegations, saying she was not in town at the time of the incident. Although her case has been publicized, she still wanted the C.B.I. loss. Satathyadas heard about this and saw that the C.B.I. there was no new development in this case. Therefore, he suggested that they continue to investigate the suspicious guest house that belonged to Sam, near the place where Josemon was killed. He changed his mind and gave Sethu a way out.
CBI 5: The Brain Ending Explained: What Happened At The End?
Susan’s ex-husband, I.G. Unnithan, had found a contract killer to kill her after their divorce due to his paranoid tendencies and schizophrenia. He was very critical of her, and in his twisted mind, always questioned her own integrity. This caused him to abuse and harass her because of his paranoia, and after divorcing her, he wanted to kill her.
He contacted Sam, his sand contractor, and met Paul Meyjo through him. He had denied knowing Paul Meyjo. However, he handed the piece of paper to Meyjo to make sure he never missed his goal again in his fall. However, he has not yet commented on Susan to Paul over the assassination of Minister Sadad who also installed Pacemaker Dr Venu. Some were treated simply because they were too close to the truth.
I.G. Unnithan had become overconfident as to how he had taken care of his ways. This overconfidence caused him to fall. He had helped C.B.I. and he was confident that the investigation would not return to him. He had forgotten to take care of the strong evidence he thought was irrelevant. According to Freud, this behavior was a result of his criminal activities. He had a habit of bragging and was happy to be called a police officer or a C.B.I. it may follow his murder back. Part under him wanted to be caught and had been working to deal with it.
He had not planned on the murder he had committed; he just wanted to kill his wife and he was convinced that it would not be followed by him. However, the murder had begun to plague his conscience, and his lowly mind cried out for help. Whenever he came to C.B.I., unknowingly, he pushed them in his direction, begging them to help him.
Criminal psychology identifies these behaviors as a guilty conscience and undiagnosed psychological problems that lead to additional illegal activities such as asking for help. Incidents of criminals bragging about their murder and robbery before they are caught because of the trauma of the crime. I.G. Unnithan, similarly, had forgotten to take care of the newspaper in which he handed over the torn page to Meyjo as a way to identify Susan.
This case has served as an example to the new I.P.S. officials to remain calm while resolving cases that will test their patience and determination. They may be faced with unexpected betrayals that may be depressing to their spirit, but they should always keep a calm mind and strength to complete their task and help their conscience. “CBI 5: The Brain.”
