“Hollywood Stargirl” was an excellent film. We’ll admit we got a little judged when we heard its name, we thought it should have been the story of a man’s struggle for their big holiday in Hollywood, but it was more than that.
The “Hollywood Stargirl” is a movie that makes you happy with the kind of music that can drive away those who are feared on Monday. And can we ask for a whole Stargirl wardrobe? We have long seen something refreshing. Before we go any further, let us see how the story unfolded that we loved very much.

Hollywood Stargirl: Movie Synopsis
“Hollywood Stargirl” begins with Stargirl moving to LA with her mother, Ana. During the move, they have a conversation where Stargirl tells her that she wishes she had a permanent place. Ana, who works as a filmmaker, is forced to move regularly because of her work, and she tells Stargirl that this is how she can take care of them. But she also assured her that she would be able to finish her big year in LA.
They both live in a new house, where they meet her landlady and sons, Evan and Terrell. Evan hears Stargirl singing and loves her voice. He tells her that he and her brother are making a sizzle trailer, almost like a movie trailer, by our understanding, and that they would love it if Stargirl could be a part of it. Evan is a writer, Terrell is a director, and Stargirl can be an actor and artist.
The next day, they went to the bar of Forte, where Terrell worked, and there they met Roxanne Martel, played by the immature Uma Thurman. In fact, there is something interesting about this woman on screen. Roxane used to live in a bar, and the staff there called her Table 6. It is Stargirl who you see as the artist of her favorite album of all time, “Magic Mile.” She is happy to meet her but can’t do that day. However, she goes on stage to sing one of her favorite songs and is applauded by everyone, including Roxanne.
The next day, she meets Roxanne and asks her if her band can use her music to make their movie. Roxanne refuses but encourages her to write her own song and even helps her by allowing them to use her piano and getting them to record in one of the studios.
They were also assisted by a neighbor of Stargirl, a fierce old man who had been a producer in Hollywood. He lends them his camera, and when they return it to him, saying that they will not be able to use it, he tells them to sell it and buy their film material. Ana helps with the film costumes, and Evan’s friends come in with some needed help.
They finally managed to finish the film and send it to the production houses, and one of them responds, saying they love what has been done and wanted to make a film about it with the help of a million dollars. Their efforts bore fruit, and although it reads like a myth, we are not happy about it. Yes, none of this is a real touch, but it is so clever that we begin to believe that something like this could be true.
Hollywood Stargirl Ending Explained: What Happened At The End?
When Ana loses her job and decides to return to Berkeley, Stargirl tells her that they can’t do it right now and asks her not to worry as she will start soon, and Ana may look for new jobs right there. But Ana says there was no guarantee that she would get a job. They do not know when the film will start or how much Stargirl will be paid, so they will have to leave.
Disappointed by the incident, Stargirl tells Terrell she will sign the required documents, and they can use the song the way they want. She just asks them not to forget her. Back home, as they pack, the mother and daughter have a heart and a heart, Stargirl assures her that things will get better and they just need to be brave for a while. Ana admits and decides to have some faith in things for her daughter. And that is how they decided to stay in LA.
Ana is a mother who tries to do her best for her daughter. She knows how endless movement puts her but chooses to see it in a positive way as to go on a new journey. Throughout the film, we see that she really cares about Stargirl but, because of her work, she can’t be there for him the way she wants to. Stargirl understands this, and although she wants more, she treats well.
Stargirl is a person before her age, but fortunately, Ana is a mother who does not take it lightly, although she is grateful for it. She decides, as an adult, to consider her daughter’s needs and desires and to act accordingly. The film concludes with the filming of the next film, a production started by the company.
In fact, as we said before, the “Hollywood Stargirl” reads like a fairy tale. The characters were perfect, the news lines were smooth and sweet without being too much, and the whole thing gave you a great sense of smile. Although some people may say that it seems like a very simple thing, we would not argue, but that was probably the intention.
There are enough movies about winning in all competitions. Maybe there should also be a film without these flaws. A pun is not intended. We could call anything else a cliche. Not to mention that this movie was 100% original, but it was really refreshing to watch.
And we have to say that the music was absolutely amazing. Some films need to learn a lesson from this and develop their game accordingly. And, at the end of these two hours, we still have a strong desire to go buy a Stargirl wardrobe.
And perhaps the “Hollywood Stargirl” will not be remembered forever or will not be watched over and over again, but will be happily celebrated with great anticipation of that hot feeling in the rare moment we think of it.
