The Time Traveler’s Wife Season 1 Episode 4: Synopsis
In the Time Traveler’s Wife Season 1 Episode 4, Henry prepares to kill Jason by calling out his modern version and telling him to prepare an alibi. He and Clare then drove to Jason’s home and abducted the boy using Clare’s father’s firearm.
Jason panics, and though she plans to kill him, Clare arrives with his inhaler. Henry finds it all funny and shows him the bruises she received from Jason.
The Time Traveler’s Wife Season 1 Episode 3: Recap
The Time Traveler’s Wife Season 1 Episode 3 begins with elderly Clare recalling how she was six years old when she first met her soulmate. Interestingly, this episode does not include Henry’s old version, and Clare once said he was dead. She goes on to relate how, in subsequent meetings, her small version realized how her future could be the wife Henry spoke of during his visit.
By the time she is thirteen, Clare has compiled a number of clues (including obvious ones like sharing the name of Henry’s wife) that her late future husband falls and is convinced that they will get married. However, Henry continues to deny it.
As a 16-year-old, we see Clare begin to flirt with Henry. She refuses to give him her clothes and pushes him further, to admit that they ended up together. However, she also starts attending high school parties and draws the attention of a famous jockey named Jason. While Clare looks at him at the party, Henry is sitting alone in their seat, waiting for him. However, when Clare returns, looking depressed, Henry disappears and returns to his old age.
The next time they meet, Clare is in a dark mood and picks up Henry to call her. She says that since Henry knew her old version, there was no way they could die. Enraged, Henry explains to her that all the decisions she makes are still hers and that she should not pretend that her life is “on the streets.” Later, Clare made a strange request to Henry. She asks her to kill her classmate Jason.
